New to Cricut?… Start here!
We created our brand, Spellbound Miniatures, with the tag line ‘Making Magical Miniatures!’ because we really do feel like we’re helping fellow miniaturists create magical miniatures in their own homes with their cutting machines.
We also want to help others to be able to start creating their own designs, and that is why we wrote the book - Making Miniatures with a Cricut Maker!
The first thing you need to do, before you even get your Cricut out of the box, is to allow yourself to make mistakes. They're not really mistakes, they are just new learning experiences for how to get the best from your material, mats and blades and the uniqueness of your machine. Every machine will cut slightly differently, every pack of material might cut differently to the previous one, your blade and mat will be in one state or another of getting worn out or blunt or needing replacement too.
The most wonderful thing about Cricut miniatures is that if you make a mistake, you can simply re-cut it and have another go!
The Cricut Maker comes with some accessories in the box, but for some of your miniature projects you’ll want to use materials which require different mats and blades than come as standard.
